Army Cake! Made for my brother-in-law, who is leaving for his 2nd tour of duty in Iraq. Carrot cake with Vanilla Orange Creamcheese Buttercream. Fondant detailing includes a grenade, yellow ribbon, Army star, chevrons, name badge, and Army boots! The top tier is covered in fondant with a cool camoflauge effect. Perfect for the Army man or woman in your life! :)

Shopaholic. This cake was for Tami's "29th" birthday. It is a shopping bag, complete with pearls and a Martini cupcake. The birthday message is written on a "napkin," and the board is painted to look like a wooden table. Composed of Banana Cake with Vanilla Almond Buttercream and fondant details. The tissue paper is real because I wanted to add more texture to the cake. This is definitely one of my favorites so far!

Three cakes in one weekend- I'm exhausted. :)

Well, if any of you have ever played the Wii game, Chicken Shoot, then you'll recognize this cake! It is Chocolate Cake with Chocolate Icing, covered in fondant. The chicken head and wings are made of crispy cereal treats. I later piped a birthday message on the side that said, Hap Wii Birthday Lance! Hahahaaha... get it?! I kill myself!

Yep. You are right. You are indeed looking at a Dentures Cake with 28 pearly-whites intact. Made for a friend, whose brother-in-law is turning 50, it is intended to be an "Over The Hill" type of joke. Let's hope the birthday boy feels the same way! It is Chocolate cake with Vanilla Rum Buttercream... mmmmmm!

Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport Cake. Banana and Strawberry Cake with Strawberry Buttercream. I never could have imagined that it would turn out this well. I am so inspired at the thought that I may have finally figured out my calling in life! My husband is obsessed with this car, always has been. He even wrote his Senior term paper on it. Needless to say, I was very anxious to even try to recreate this car, especially with cake. Even he said that I did a great job, which means a lot to me. Oh, but he did point out the two design imperfections. Eh, I didn't expect anything less!
